Job Description
ποΈ Ahura Resorts is the management company operating two of Fiji's award-winning, most popular and well-known resorts β Malolo Island Resort and Likuliku Lagoon Resort in the Mamanucas.
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to join our Finance & Admin team at our head office in Martintar, Nadi.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
π Financial Planning
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management.
Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and provide recommendations to management to improve financial performance.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as required.
π Accounts Payable and Receivable
Oversee the processing of invoices, payments and receipts, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
π Payroll Management
Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and policies.
π General Ledger Management
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy in all financial entries, and adherence to internal controls.
π Cash Flow Management
Manage cash flow, including forecasting and working capital management.
π Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Coordinate financial audits and work closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
π Process Improvement
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency enhancements.
Lead initiatives to streamline financial processes and improve productivity within the finance function.
Recommend and implement best practices for financial operations.
π Team Leadership and Development
Supervise and mentor finance team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Conduct performance evaluations, offer feedback, and support the professional development of finance staff.
Skills/Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally in the hospitality industry.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting & reporting standards, and tax laws.
- Industry experience in hospitality or lodging is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial software (Sun Accounting Software will be an added advantage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
