Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Chief of Commercial & Engineering (CCE), the Marine Engineering Manager plays a hands-on leadership role, ensuring all vessels, plant, and machinery are maintained to the highest standard with minimal downtime and within budgetary constraints. The role works closely with Engineering Admin, the Compliance Manager, Marine Operations, island teams, vessel masters, and the broader Maintenance team to ensure seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster cross-departmental collaboration to support daily engineering functions and uphold compliance standards.
• Manage budgets for spare parts, external contractors, and repair work, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Lead and coordinate all planned and reactive maintenance to optimize reliability and minimize equipment downtime.

Role Requirements:

• Strong leadership, communication, and adaptability in a dynamic operational environment.
• Demonstrated success in problem-solving and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Formal engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience in marine or heavy engineering maintenance.
