Your Day to Day:

As a Porter, you'll play a crucial role in delivering a warm welcome and fond farewell to all our guests. You’ll assist with luggage handling, escort guests to their rooms, provide helpful information, and ensure the lobby is always welcoming and well-maintained. You will be an essential part of the guest experience and a visible ambassador of our service values.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Arrival & Departure

• Assist guests with luggage at departure and help arrange transportation.
• Handle luggage storage for early arrivals, late check-outs, or temporary holding.
• Escort guests to their rooms while explaining hotel facilities and room features.
• Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with unloading luggage.

Lobby & Guest Service Support

• Provide support to elderly or mobility-impaired guests as needed.
• Respond promptly to guest needs and coordinate with the front office or other departments.
• Open doors, arrange taxis or transfers, and offer directions or local recommendations.
• Keep the lobby area clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times.

Operational Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and functionality of trolleys and porter equipment.
• Deliver items to guest rooms, including amenities, messages, or special requests.
• Report any suspicious activity or safety issues to Security or the Duty Manager.
• Properly tag, record, and store guest luggage or lost-and-found items.

Team Support

• Provide support in emergencies, following hotel evacuation and safety procedures.
• Assist with the flow and handling of luggage during group arrivals or departures.
• Support Concierge and Front Office teams during busy periods or special events.

Qualifications & Skills

• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Familiarity with hotel layout and local area is a plus.
• Physically capable of lifting and transporting heavy luggage.
• Friendly, courteous, and well-presented with excellent communication skills.
• Previous hotel or customer service experience preferred.
• High school certificate or equivalent required.
